Chalumeau is an international, intergenerational 9-piece band out of Providence, Rhode Island, playing their own high-octane mix of original blues, jazz, and rock & roll. Featuring a roster of seasoned professionals and newer talent, the band includes legendary rhythm section Rick Couto, drums, Marty Ballou, bass, and Bill Jette, guitar; a 3-piece horn section with Harry Qin and Carlo Ostuni, alto saxes and Butch Rovan, aka Professor, tenor sax and clarinet, as well as guitar; and the powerhouse vocal trio of Laurie Schaeffer and Nina Sethanandha, background vocals and keys, and Katherine Bergeron, aka Chalumeau, lead vocal and keys. Now at work on their second album, following their acclaimed debut BLUE, Chalumeau is known for tight arrangements and dynamic performances that make their live shows a must.
